Corporate World

I was keen to understand the dynamics of the Corporate World
It seems the first preference to many who wished to join the herd
I wondered what happened differently in this so called Universe
The inhabitants were after all human and it could get no worse

I realized that many have empirically established layers and dens
The old timers vouch that it encourages a climate of high performance
The naysayers highlight the risk of people constantly sitting on the fence
The behavioural scientist always talks about achieving the fine balance

As they say in today’s world there is always a continuous change and churn
Only the highly ethical man acknowledges his ignorance at how the system runs
Each man is apparently a subject matter expert in his area of specialization
There are always others you need to reach out to if you need more information

Some they say are outgoing and dominant and may show lack of reverence
Others may stay unto themselves and express only if pressed on with the lens
Some may demonstrate a complete adherence to systems & entrenched control
Others may not think twice to break tradition and establish their own protocol

As in any world there are those whose ambitions may not have any limits
Different people have their own views regards maintaining integrity of spirit
Some people may see no correlation between means and achieving the end
Others may prefer not to bend and may consequentially face a dead end

Every man has a defined role to perform and assigned key result areas
Depending on work level he may operate by self or through his extended team
His work though reviewed on a regular basis may not hold up to rigor of thesis
His line manager has a strong influence not to underscore political equation and axis

Every man works hard during the year to earn his piece of pie
That is doled out to him in various forms of benefits & incentives
He has to exhibit resilience and live up to high levels of excellence
He needs to master the art to overcome environmental disturbance

There are times when man prays for the divine intervention
He gets thrown in the midst of chaos that shows no sign of dissipation
He may crave for support from the very system that seems in denial
As they say every man at some point or the other needs to fight for survival

During his life cycle and evolution from an entrant to a hard wired executive
He may live through experiences memorable or that he prefers to leave behind
As he gets caught in the web of social networks for his sustenance
Little does he dwell on its role beyond the daily feed and maintenance

In this journey he may develop relationships that may stand the test of time
In his sunset of life providing fodder to relive cultivated memories of his prime
As he moves on in life in his desire to impact people, situations and environment
He ought to be conscious of the reality of impermanence of his current tent!

Water

The most abundant available molecule on Earth
No wonder its importance gets reflected in its true worth
It takes various forms categorized by phases of matter
Solid, Liquid or Steam it affects your life sooner than later

It always aims to balance temperature and pressure
The form it takes is a true reflection of existing nature
It moves continuously in cycles of evaporation and precipitation
Creating access to safe drinking water essential for human condition

Its presence be it the oceanic depths or the shallow river bed
Reflects the bonding energies of atoms tested on the head
It seems to have a strange chemistry with the ever green Salt
Just as its transparency gets tested on connecting with the volt

It is also commonly known as the Universal solvent
No wonder in today’s scenario its vulnerability creates a dent
There seems to be a clear link between economy and world population
Without doubt access to safe water is directly linked to income condition

Man seems to have finally made up his mind after facing beads of perspiration
No wonder that scientists across the world are stressing on water conservation
The ongoing negotiations and treaties to balance demand and supply condition
May yet play a critical role in the next leap of Nature’s creation and evolution!

The Storm Passes

It just seemed to be the start of another normal day
Little was I to know the upcoming challenges in the fray
The horizon turned dark and the clouds turned a shade of grey
It was just the start of a nightmare that made me fervently pray

The dark clouds seemed to have tuned into a permanent station
The heavy showers seemed to strike me to a lull in any action
The lightning and thunderbolts seemed to enjoy the art of suction
Whatever little courage and resilience I had seemed to have lost traction

Was it just my imagination or was it happening to all
The gloom that descended seemed to erect a dead wall
The sad story that afflicted me was not really my call
My internals were churned inside out and I was on a free fall

I craved for a new beginning, even a new look and start to my day
I began to count my blessings even if a hidden needle in a stack of hay
The fervent remembrance of a past that now seemingly was full of grace
I just yearned to enjoy peaceful moments of joy without being in the race

The eternal conflict between desire and acceptance
The conflicting messages between free choice and destiny
The internal division between being driven and going with the flow
I understood the true difference between sunlight and reflected glow

As I began to look at life anew I began to truly observe
The smaller details of life get visible as the slope curves
The hidden meaning comes packaged in various forms
One needs to keep the company of wise and stop being forlorn

As I consciously decided to let go my bad memories from the past
The green fields embraced me beckoning with opportunities vast
The sun shone back loud and bright signalling the end of despair
Life seemed to have turned full cycle and I earned my spot in the fair!
