My dear one, you have already turned one
Difficult to believe the 365 trips around the sun
You have been a bundle of joy providing bounty of fun
It has been one of those times when pride fills me next to none

The early days and nights resonated with energy levels lows and highs
The attention you demanded with your loud and far reaching cries
The focus on present seemed to be your message and demand
The life revolved around you and all your wishes were my command

I never knew that you had begun to closely hear,
I realized the same only when you insisted on lending your ear,
The pull at the phone and trying to make some sense
The untrained efforts to connect without any pretense

Then you began your prowl around by starting your crawls
Believe it or not, I periodically in the interest of safety got into a brawl
You had an innate intelligence when ever you hit a wall
And you seemed to forget and move on as an ever revolving ball

Then came the day when your exploration necessitated a walk
It was the defining moment when no one could resist the talk
For me it was a moment of truth my little one taking her baby step
Time stood still letting me absorb progress without an inadvertent slip

As you begin to now sound out your early words
I can guarantee that you will be for now and every truly heard
The time with you will always be moments very special

Life Management

We are talking about the concept of time
The true worth that extends beyond millions of dime
Events and experiences in life does not necessarily rhyme
Living life by the moment is not necessarily a crime

Self reflection does help moments align
Focus on outcomes projects a future reflecting glory and shine
The ground below may seem to pull apart under a heating mine
Yet days follow night and the sailing seems just fine

The ever changing cycle of time generates emotions filled with pain
Yet challenges in life are neither solved by the sword or the cane
One’s constant reflections triggers the tiny cells in the brain
The heart combines to cheer on and life moves beyond the mundane

Prioritization in life never ever goes up in vain
Crisis or Contingency there is no other person to blame
The reach out of one’s Circle of Influence need not be played only as a game
Sparks of change trigger with potential ready to burst into flames

Inefficiency and waste should be disposed off with urgent haste
Action and Inaction is a reflection of one’s acquired taste
Quality of Life need not be a silence experienced only in a dream
Taking charge of your life requires a stretch beyond accepted levels of seam

Spotting an opportunity in adversity requires a reorientation
Taking up the ownership of change goes beyond stages of ideation
The revolving cycles of time consistently sows seed of procreation
