Life Time Memories

You may have given up your worldly human form
I understand that is the mortal universal norm
I understand that there are both peace and storm
Your presence was always serene filled with calm

I may not have always agreed with your school of thought
I may not have always understood the lessons you taught
I may have preferred to spend more time in connecting the dots
I really miss your presence when I end up getting caught in a knot

You connect with me regularly in my dreams
You make me realize that life is similar to a stream
You give me insightful messages from a larger realm
Your thought make me feel blessed and gives my days a gleam

It is strange that distance makes us learn lessons at a quicker pace
It is an unknown territory where very few have identified their space
I will forever continue to look for your eternal guidance and grace
I can assure you that I will abide by your values as I seek my path in this maze!

Silence

It was the perfect start to the day, the wake-up call from deep within
The sun-rise was still some time away and the world was still asleep
The call to pick up the threads and connect the dots was a big leap
The inner silence was one of peace and joy and reflected gratitude

The chaos and the constant churn seemed to surface from time to time
The discipline of the soul ensured that it had no impact on its rhyme
The makeover was gradual and the process of transition was still on
There were no indications to foretell that much of tasks were undone

The trees were amazingly silent and did not dance its way to the cool breeze
The birds that are normally so chirpy were also apparently in a state of bliss
The music that yet played on in the ears were an absolute pleasure to hear
The clarity that revealed itself made choices of decisions no longer any queer

The arousal of dawn brought an end to this external picture of poise and calm
The experience of silence though had triggered a process of internal cleansing
The gross image of the external world with its attractions may no longer charm
The subtle nuance of the inner world with its call for change was an awakening!

You are not the suffering that saddens you at moments of time
You are not what you present yourself to the world at large
You know you are fooling around when you carry around garbage

You are not what your parents, children, siblings or friends say you are
You are not the fear that binds you to remain in the status quo
You are not the challenges that constrains your progression
You are not the permanent solution in the world’s evolution

You are not what your bosses decide are your personality traits
You are not what your peers share feedback providing their insights
You are not what your juniors provide you their views in their sight
You are not what plight you land in the battle between fight or flight

You have arrived in a form yet will have to give it up one day
You have put on a mask to protect yourself and have your say
You feel that your care for others will enhance their stay
You feel that you have outgrown the age to have fun and play

You have not even spent moments thinking about what you want
You have not even spared a thought deliberating on your want
You have lived in this world and have got caught in the whirlpool
You have given up your hopes as much as you realize it is not a rule

You need not spend any single moment thinking about your true self
You need to just realize that you are all that comprises this world
Your thoughts and emotions creates a world that you choose to inhabit
You need to accept that you neither inherit nor leave behind any legacy

Your views may be discussed now or later or never in this world at large
You should not feel weighed down by discovery of increased load of baggage
You just need to live a simple life true to your values and principles in this life
You need to have joy and share what you believe inhibits living a fulfilling life

You will observe that you will have a calmness and composure without making efforts
You will observe that your words have its impact on people without any much effort
You will observe that you are full of energy ready to take action without any effort
You will observe that your real self has taken over its role without you taking any effort!
