The Journey

I was all set to start my inner journey of exploration on unknown Planet Earth
I was aware of the final outcome beyond the start when I get a suitable berth
I was aware that one day I will need to renounce the external body to return
I was aware that in this journey I will be privy to situations of what I had to learn

As I got ready to start my journey the lord called me to evaluate my state of mind
He wanted to know whether I was glad to leave his abode and freedom from his bind
He wanted to know whether I was sad to leave his abode into a new world alleged unkind
He wanted to know whether I had my heart and mind open with my vision not turned blind

He wanted to know of the path that I would prefer to take as I tread different paths
He wanted to know whether I would take the beaten path or take the road less travelled
He wanted to know about the kind of experiences that I desired to face as I found my way
He wanted to know my grasp on emotions of suffering and pleasure as I indulged in the play

He wanted to know the choices that I would prefer when I experienced varied situations
He wanted to know my point of view on how I would balance indulgence and compassion
He wanted to know my point of view on whether I would be guided by logic or intuition
He wanted to know my point of view on whether I would be a rebel or support regulation

He wanted to know about the key points that motivated me to take up this journey all alone
He wanted to know whether I was aware that should I face challenges I never need to moan
He wanted to know whether I remembered that he had blessed me to find my solution within
He wanted to know whether I remembered that I needed to be peaceful to get out of the spin

He wanted me to appreciate that different situations would need to be handled differently
He wanted me to appreciate that the context needs to be kept in mind to act appropriately
He wanted me to be supportive should I encounter those who seemed to lack comprehension
He wanted me to be tolerant and gain a better insight by actually using my gift of perception

He wanted me to remember that I will create all my experiences during my progression
He wanted me to know that I will attract those situations that will leave its impression
He wanted me to be conscious of what I desire for since every desire will finally find its way
He enlightened me that time was perceived differently and need to be alert to not fall prey

He mentioned to me that he will be always besides me and I just need to willingly reach out
He mentioned that energies were aligned differently and it may take time to find him out
He mentioned that I should never forget my source of origin and make time for meditation
He hinted that as the ultimate medicine that would clear all doubts and provide illumination!

Blocks and Delays

Many of us at various points have experienced various forms of irritating blocks and delay
The context may have varied but the emotions are similar and always come home to stay
One may like to let go the negative feelings associated with memories you prefer to let go
One may make resolutions but akin to an unwelcome guest it hangs on impacting your vow

One may relate to traffic snarls and jams that affects your movement and slows you down
One may relate to network traffic that does not let you make that vital call making you frown
One may relate to network server going down just when you are waiting for the closing data
One may relate to having to encounter ailments just when you thought you were ready to sail

One may relate to getting the new job offer late when you had decided to put in the papers
One may relate to your bank closing shutters just when you had to make the final payment
One may relate to visitors calling delaying your visit to the market to shop for the grocery
One may relate to people you totally trusted not fulfilling their commitments when in need

One may relate to people coming late for the meeting especially when you had them nonstop
One may relate to state of farmers when rains came in late that adversely impacted their crop
One may relate to state of film producers when their release gets delayed impacting cash flow
One may relate to citizen’s emotions when their elected representatives results do not show

One may relate to not being able to procure the relevant books in time for your final exams
One may relate to not getting the crucial guidance in time that may avoid your facing a storm
One may relate to your own people letting you down just when you needed them the most
One may relate to your energy falling just when you were on the last mile en route the post

One may relate to just missing the tiger after traversing for miles for that one elusive look
One may relate to getting all items except one for the special meal that you planned to cook
One may relate to your sticking to the itinerary when the weather desired to have a change
One may relate to you laze around in the sun when the clouds arrived and made you cringe

One may relate to your flight not getting the permission to land and going around in circles
One may relate to you having an early meeting and not landing in office early as per plan
One may relate to you having to follow up with others for an update that they had committed
One may relate to creating back-up plans that failed to operate making you look dim-witted

It appears there are limited things that one can do when we are faced with blocks and delays
One can try to minimize its incidence and plan for the best & worst case scenario every day
One needs to accept and acknowledge there are factors beyond our control that does operate
One needs to learn to stay calm under pressure when environmental factors alter our fate!

Just Grow Up

Remember those days in your younger days when your only wish was to grow up fast
You dreamt of fulfilling those desires that were apparently reserved for the older cast
You jumped with joy when you crossed the legal age and felt a new sense of freedom
You were ecstatic on getting some of the licenses and only dreamt of achieving stardom

You had no time to reflect and think about the long-term outcome of any of your actions
You wanted to feel a sense of inclusion within your group and this resulted in imitation
Your choices that you took were not uncommon and you were not yet ready to stand out
You always used to worry about the worldly reaction and the concern that you had no clout

Time passed by and your circle of friends changed as your preferences evolved over time
You had developed depth of knowledge in your field and felt confident as you scaled the peak
You looked out for a role befitting your qualification that would further your own reputation
You desired to establish your credibility by completing assignments with levels of distinction

Time further passed by and you went through a series of personal and professional transition
They were not the easiest of moments that you faced and you had to act without any option
There were various feelings that were generated that made you indulge in self introspection
There were moments when you reflected on the real changes that occurred in your evolution

The moments of the past was ripe in your memory as if it had occurred just the previous day
The present moments required you to continue to enact your act in the larger worldly play
You still needed to gain accolades but had apparently lost the drive to continue in the fray
There were times when you reflected whether anything had really changed during your stay

You always had conflicting thoughts about your own sense of really growing up over time
You begin to ask what truly matters in life about the larger purpose of your own existence
You began to reflect on the important principles that operated consistently across all ages
You began to read up on the philosophy of life and began to think on the wisdom of the sages

You realized that many situations are just transient and your experience equally momentary
You realized that this life in this form is transient and you need to handle both joy and fury
You realized the need to retain your sanity and maintain calm in periodic moments of worry
You realized that desires not getting fulfilled may be in the larger good and reflect in history

You realized the true meaning of growing up was never intended to reflect in physical form
You realized that growing up on the material and mental plane may help quieten a storm
You realized that growing up in stature in society was purely need based without stability
You realized that growing up was letting your soul spiritually evolve and finding its own equilibrium!

Independence

One can only appreciate the true value of Independence when you have been denied freedom
Many folks have over the ages lost their lives fighting for their rights and gained martyrdom
The cause may vary for different individuals and the challenges may trigger varied reactions
The folks who are bound by self-created or external chains let loose a barrage of emotions

Many a time the lack of financial freedom denies people the right to live a decent lifestyle
Many a time the lack of good health and fitness denies people the right to even walk a mile
Many a time the lack of basic education denies people the right to work up to their potential
Many a time the lack of basic shelter denies people the right to safety from hostile weather

Many a time basic lack of awareness may deny one the wisdom of local and cultural tradition
Many a time lack of maturity in the environment may expose one to religious manipulation
Many a time the lack of effective timely support system may expose one to face exploitation
Many a time basic lack of basic awareness of self rights may expose you to social persecution

Many a time the lack of parents denies children from experiencing the joy of childhood
Many a time the lack of children denies parents from experiencing the joy of parenthood
Many a time the challenges faced at an early age may deny people to enjoy their adulthood
Many a time the challenges faced during middle and old age makes causes one to regularly brood

Many a time lack of valour to express your opinion makes you susceptible to gross violation
Many a time lack of openness to change makes you susceptible to operate under compulsion
Many a time lack of courage to question makes you implicitly belief those with qualification
Many a time lack of self belief makes you less aware of the liberty to practice your vocation

It is imperative that man takes self-efforts to understand the rights under the Constitution
It is imperative that man supports self and others from facing any nature of discrimination
It is imperative the need to understand the laws of the land should come from self volition
It will ensure a better life free from restriction and empower one to find a sense of direction!

Let go the past, Embrace the New

One may have too much attachment to the memories that binds you to familiarity of the past
One may have many questions and fears to embrace a new future that you are not aware of
One may be facing a bitter experience in the present moment that may have put life on hold
One needs to trust in evolution and look at your growth from a baby to your current mould

One may be afraid to let go of current relations that does not provide space for new creation
One may be afraid to go beyond current responsibility fearing to get caught by new liability
One may be afraid to experience life in new geographies letting loose imagined catastrophes
One may be afraid to revisit your philosophy of life and prefer to go on with beliefs formed

One may lack courage to confront the truth and accept reality as it reveals in present form
One may lack maturity to look beyond the short-term needs that may build up to a storm
One may lack self-awareness to understand your true purpose beyond living societal norms
One may avoid taking up the hard work required to create life anew & start life as a new born

One needs to look at Mother Nature around us to enable us to make an unemotional choice
One just needs to look at change of seasons that is accepted by all creation with equal poise
One needs to adapt be it choice of season to breed or prospect locations for survival and feed
One needs to align to the dynamic energies of the Universe to avoid a life that seems a curse

One can ill-afford to be caught in the past and live on with memories unpleasant or enjoyable
One needs to stay in the present to savour its beauty totally than just imagine life as in a fable
One needs to visualize a future that you can paint on an open canvass beyond present existence
One needs to embrace new patterns and choices rather than have to face a life of repentance!

Lessons on Life – Chapter 2

The grandparents were overcome with emotions on hearing their grandson’s deep desire
The gleam in their eyes reflected the joy and they were eager to share their wisdom & culture
They were aware that amidst the evolving life scenarios one can ill-afford any rigid posture
They were equally aware that life experiences truly tests a person’s character and composure

They reflected on the right approach to share their life experiences from the distant past
They had encountered numerous mazes in their journey and had cultivated memories vast
They had seen the pace of life undergo a radical shift from a slow track to one that is very fast
They had also consulted elders amidst confusion and their reactions had left them aghast

They realized that they had to share their lessons of life but connect it to the current context
Their considered it fit to not talk about incidents that their grandson could not relate with
Their internal compass guided them to focus on areas that would align with his current need
They also realized their duty in moulding his character that would link up to his future deeds

They believed that certain guiding principles operated consistently across any given situation
They had endeavoured to diligently follow them and this only strengthened their disposition
They decided to take turns in educating their grandson that may contribute to his evolution
They recognized the reality of impermanence and desired to leave behind their impression!

Lessons on Life - Chapter 1

It was vacation time and the grandson was excited to live with his ever loving grandparents
He always waited for the day when his exams got over that had over the years come to haunt
He always had his back pack ready with bare essentials required to help him walk up the hill
His grandparents always used to provide him this analogy of living a simple life without frills

He got ready early in the day waiting for his grandparents to complete their morning prayers
He excitedly spoke about his experience since the last visit especially his first dive in to water
He spoke about a sage visiting their school and urging them to be conscious of their actions
He expressed a desire to lead a fulfilling life and always take decisions without any hesitation

He wanted to know from his grandparents about their various experiences in their lifetime
He wanted to know how things had changed over the years and their evolution over the years
He wanted to know whether they had any regrets on decisions and judgement calls on others
He wanted to be aware of how to lead a discerning life and never show an attitude of a quitter

He had so many questions on life but he had so many issues to handle as a part of his routine
He wanted the timely & right guidance so that he could build a personality pure and pristine
He wanted his grandparents to advise him on how to consciously have his energies align
He wanted to absorb the true essence of life and live out the ultimate desire of the divine!

Just break the Cycle

It is about time that you finally committed to yourself to let go and finally break the cycle
You have been mulling over and procrastinating long enough for one to label you fickle
It is not other’s opinion that needs you to change your habits and leave behind old patterns
It is the promise you make to compete with self that encourages your destiny to take a turn

It may be about relationships with people that may make you annoyed and lose your sleep
It may be about your inability to build your desired financial portfolio that makes you weep
It may be your low confidence levels in your ability due to perceived low skills and education
It may be your sheer lack of ambition to strike it big that makes your live a life of moderation

It may be about your inability to follow your fitness regime leading to lower energy levels
It may be about your self-doubt that you are not able to influence others to ring your bell
It may be about your lack of courage to stand up for your rights that you maintain silence
It may be about your inner insecurities that forces you to build around you a protective fence

It may be giving too much respect beyond what others deserve that makes you submissive
It may be never giving the due care and attention for self needs that makes you aggressive
It may be living with outdated and unquestioned beliefs that fail to make you be assertive
It may be about surrounding yourself with people who rarely ever exhibited any initiative

You just need to make that important decision to break the cycle and fight your own battle
Just do not expect any support from others as you go about proving to the world your mettle
You may like to acknowledge any assistance that may be offered should someone’s heart melt
You may like to balance idealism with pragmatism as you finally learn to tighten your belt!

Life Management

I believe many of us at different points of time have thought of managing self better
Many of us may have even participated in sessions with hopes to change for the better
Many of us may have reflected on the famous four quadrants of Urgent & Important Matrix
Many a time we may have never yet implemented the lessons and continue to be in a fix

Just imagine that you have retired from active work and you don’t need to work for your pay
Just imagine that you have sufficient financial resources to support your life long stay
Just imagine that you lack complete clarity on life but have been blessed to find your way
Just imagine that you need not be a part of the rat race and be ever in a competitive fray

How many of us really know what we will do should we be granted a life-long holiday?
How many of us have any clue on our desires beyond indulging in activities to earn our pay?
How many of us have really absorbed that time on Planet Earth is really a temporary stay?
How many of us have reflected and committed to live differently as we continue our play?

Are you going to spend time lazing around and fulfilling all your physical desire that matter?
Are you going to spend time interacting and relating to people to understand them better?
Are you going to watch movies, play & listening to music, indulge in idle talk and chatter?
Are you going to play active sports and take up fitness programs to help you turn fit faster?

Are you going to visit places be it beaches, wild marvel of nature or an architectural wonder?
Are you going to indulge in photography and differentiate by capturing moments of blunder?
Are you going to go all-out shopping, look out for the best bargain as you aimlessly wander?
Are you going to learn a new hobby and cultivate a new interest as you learn to surrender?

Many of us may have wanted to read up books that guides us on the ultimate life purpose
Many of us may have wanted to spend time with spiritual teachers to help look beyond gloss
Many of us may have wanted to understand our religious tenets and stop living life in a mess
Many of us may have waited for the right moment to take a break and eliminate our stress

How many of us have actually thought in the larger scheme of things do these really matter?
How many of us have reflected on the truth that what we run after will sometime gather rust
How many of us have truly absorbed the essence that many attractions are not really a must?
How many of us live life with an awareness that eventually one day we return back to dust?

It does not mean that we avoid taking actions, stay silent and only do prayers & meditation
It does not mean that we stop taking interest in life and display our ultimate realization
It does not mean that we avoid having social contact and indicate a life cycle completion
It only means to live life consciously & aim to find your life purpose in your form of creation!

The Paradox of a Fall

I was walking along the beach when all of a sudden I was witness to a coconut fall
I truly thanked god that it was not my head but the wet sand that could endure the fall
I was walking in the public garden along the parking lot when I again saw a coconut fall
This time it was on a parked vehicle and its owner was highly enraged and got into a brawl

I was catching up on the market scenario and the bulls were highly unhappy with the free fall
I thanked my financial planner for advising me to divest my portfolio and me heeding his call
I was looking up at exchange rates quoted by banks and observed that the rupee had a fall
I was expecting a couple of export orders and hoped that this may trigger them to take a call

I had gone to buy my weekly vegetables and happily noted that it had triggered a price fall
The major cause was the weather and the more than expected quota of seasonal rainfall
The shower in the catchment areas ensured that the corporation was not up against a wall
The traders unhappy with the price fall were yet happy with rising volumes not taking a toll

The elections were round the corner and the contestants were busy with the upcoming poll
They busy schedules were filled up with hourly meetings beseeching voters to heed their call
They committed to build the best of infrastructure facilities and heed the final wake-up call
They promised to build a future different from the past and ensure all citizens have a ball

I went to the jungles to have a respite from city life and rest in the laps of Mother Nature
I come across a group of Monkeys and Spotted Deer together who gave me a quick glance
The Deer stood up on their hind legs and nibbled the foliage and had the occasional scramble
It was a joy to see the Monkeys drop the leaves from the tree for the waiting deer to nibble

I then came across a group of flowering trees that had surrounded itself with its own flowers
It seemed to want to create moments that it could treasure and yet secure its ultimate future
The view of bed of flowers that it was resting on was priceless moments of joy and pleasure
One could never imagine timing such magical moments that had effectively no measure

I then went further in the wild and happened to observe a pair of predatory birds in the sky
As was their habit they were scouting for prey and leveraging their strengths by flying high
I suddenly happened to observe one of them rapidly descend at a pace and going for the kill
I never had imagined that a bird could drop at such a pace and I literally stood standstill

I got back and reflected on the day gone by right from the coconut and markets that had a fall
I thought about poll contestants to Nature’s creations each for survival getting into a brawl
I thought about the wise tree that had its seed spread to improve the possibility of its growth
I suddenly realized that every fall has something to savour that could be the ultimate antidote!
