Direction of Wind

Many a time people say that they get a sense of the way the wind is blowing
Many a time they do not have instruments to measure or justify their internal knowing
Many a time others may never comprehend when others talk about their inner calling
Many a time one just needs to remain peaceful and enjoy the overall cleansing

When you are soaked deep into your depths the inner energy starts to awaken
It signifies the start of a process where you are wisdom seeks channels for ignition
When you are able to feel the flow of the wind and sense a deep bond and connection
It signifies that you have finally woken up and are ready for going through the transition

There is a journey that you are on and you had yet to discover your unique life path
There are multiple roads that you have criss-crossed and countless memories that will last
There are many associations that you have made as you seemed submerged in your cast
There are many times you seemed constrained when you lived out experiences of the past

The roads converges, the flowers of the season are in full bloom wiping away all your gloom
The soul discovers, the connections in this universe are all together ready to ease all your bother
The time is right, the forces all coming with an intensity that you are endowed with magnetic vitality
The divine path is revealed, the universe is waiting with bated breath as you ascend the sacred step!

Challenge

It started with my farewell party and my colleagues were wishing me all the very best
I seemed to be on a professional high and felt a sense of pride and there was a halo on my crest
I had taken up a new assignment which as per my assessment presented a new set of challenges
I looked forward to leave behind my footprints on the sands of time that always weathers change

I had made all the necessary analysis about the role and the aspirations of my new organization
I had done a detailed background check on the credentials and values of my new found attraction
I had defined outcomes to be achieved with phased timelines to demonstrate my own initiative
I looked forward to let the world know about a man on a mission exhibiting high levels of self drive

I had the wisdom to take a break from work before focusing on my new sense of priorities
It seemed that Nature had willed that the break was essential for me to understand humanity
I had a broad picture when I made my case to take up an assignment with skills yet untested
I discovered that skills also develops beyond conditioned environment even when you are rested

I had defined my learning outcomes as arising from a logical extension of my taking a series of steps
I never realized that I could be pushed into situations that forces me to find my way yet get a grip
I thought that everything should flow as per a defined plan with the timelines within my control
I realized that one needs to open the inner eye to truly understand Nature and its preordained role

I was subjected to a hectic pace and made to race around to meet the need of the present
I was ridiculed for even thinking about the next moment when there were strong under-currents
I never knew that I will get exposed to an inner side of me that had yet to be exposed to the world
I never knew that I will have no control on time or my instinctive reaction when exposed to the wild

I discovered the limited vision that I had when I had planned to take up a new assignment
I had made decisions based on my assessment of my strengths and my own temperament
I had thought I exhibited traces of maturity when I had made series of contingent plans
My frailties got literally exposed when I was pushed neck deep in the waters in the eye of a storm

It was not the most pleasant feeling when you are ripped apart amidst efforts to toe your cart
It was not the best experiences to savour when you are alone and have to face hearts of stone
It was not easy to hold back emotions when exposed to means people follow to close their eyes
It was not a time when I could wait for the optimal moment to act or even better change my course

The circumstances that I was exposed to needed me to dance to a different beat in the midst of fury
The tools of scenario planning seemed to be of no use as scenes constantly changed without a worry
The insights on PESTEL/SWOT Analysis or even plain common sense did not find merit with the jury
The profound wisdom was uncovering my true essence and the reality is that now I am in no hurry!

Speck of Talent

It is not easy to spot the speck of potential talent in the midst of plenty
One may like to fool oneself and demonstrate unhealthy sense of vanity
It may not be easy to acknowledge learned experiences from humanity
It may be difficult to digest ridicule when you get no dose of empathy

Most of us make judgements on people based on some level of gut
Most of us take pride when success follows those on who you placed your bet
Most of us make excuses when failure follows and your choices hurt
Most of us wisely accept that spotting talent is akin to sort gold from the dust

Many of us look at some common frame of reference when we meet
Many of us connect when interests and aspirations share a heart beat
Many of us conflict when you face someone who seems to be on a different planet
Many of us lack the curiosity to look forward to a different catch on casting the net

Many a time the ways of the world may impact your innate sense of freedom
Many a time you realize it is not the world but you who have chosen martyrdom
Many an opportunity presents itself for you to let the world what you stand for
Many a time you lack the courage to take centre stage and stand up to the glare

When two people connect it creates a moment resonating with energy levels untried
When two people connect it has the potential to share experiences exposing your inner side
When two people connect sparks may fly and you may be tempted to even lose all inhibition
When two people connect it may be wiser to use your intuition and go beyond first impression!

Make the Case for Change Now

It has been the decision that you have been contemplating and avoided for the past few years
It has pre-occupied your mind during much of your free time that you seem to have developed a fear
It has the potential to be the key turning point in your life and may even be a game changer
Life will be brighter should you avoid walking the woods alone and stretch beyond perceived danger

Life is too short for you to keep reflecting and over-analyze the consequences of your actions
The worst is you may make some mistakes on the way that may have a temporary disruption
You may sense a need to recharge your life and learn from your unique experiences of the past
You need to trust your feelings and intuition that sends you signals of a need to change the cast

Your past decisions may have been timely, accurate and relevant at that point of time
Your internal rigidity demonstrates your unwillingness to create new realities sublime
Nature is always peaceful and demonstrates perfect rhythm and no two seconds are the same
Letting go old and difficult memories may be your ultimate test as you seek to outgrow your palm

You may have to go through a radical makeover that may prompt you to seek shade and cover
You may get tempted to stay within your comfort zone and lack courage to take steps that empower
You may discount your existence and get threatened by a loss to your sense of prestige and power
You need to let go of this illusion of projecting a higher than life image of never being a knock over

Many people learn from their experiences in life that should not come in their way of taking action
Avoiding decisions means not wanting to take responsibility of growing up to uncover your creation
It may not always be smooth sailing in life and you may face periods of intense churn of emotions
You need to realize that a diamond reflects its lustre only when it lets go its original creation!

Be Aware When You Pray

Many of us pray for divine interventions when we encounter storms in our way
Many of us also pray for the world that some opine is going too much out of the way
Many of us may feel glad when the solutions they seek comes within their grasp
Many of us also get weighed down when the burdens seem to tighten their clasp

Many of us may be fully conscious and aware of the outcomes that one may seek
Many of us may demonstrate lack of seriousness when they initiate their earnest plead
Many of us may not realize that every prayer and every thought will have an end result
One may need to demonstrate higher levels of responsibility to avoid any kind of ill health

Whatever you desire and crave for will sprout and blossom as per nature’s law
Cause and Effect will always rule and it may be difficult to identify any meaningful flaw
One may essentially have to reap the fruits of whatever seeds that you have sown
One needs to keep watch of every thought that arises in your mind for it is etched in stone

One may be sceptical about the so called power of imagination of your own mind
One may like to justify that things happen without a reason yet gets one into a bind
Should one deeply introspect one may discover a very strong sense of inter-connection
Many an event that you see resulting in your life may have an unknown yet inner creation

As one always desires for better things in life to be always a part of your universe
One needs to take that extra step and caution to avoid creating plots that turn out a curse
Some may like to simply express that you need to stay positive and have pleasant thoughts
Some like to bat for the eternal truth that with disciplined effort one can cover every hole in the pot!

It Is Never Too Late

As I eased my frame slowly on the couch a thought struck me that it is never too late
It seemed that the message had a divine purpose and intuitively signalled the end of a wait
I was reflecting on so many actions that could have been completed earlier than the expiry date
The insight in a way seemed to sum up some of my life experiences that contributed to my fate

As I further spent time thinking through the depth of meaning of the message spoken aloud
I could realize that with practice of this philosophy one could easily stand out from the crowd
Many a time we avoid taking action when it falls due and further procrastinate like the sticky glue
The primary change being the inherent nature stands apart like the tiger in a cage not having a clue

It is never too late to go and make up with your near and dear ones and tender a personal apology
It is never too late to meet people who you need to rather than regret when writing their eulogy
It is never too late to share with people how they made a significant contribution to your existence
It is never too late to share nostalgic memories with good old friends without any sense of pretence

It is never too late to evaluate the status of your health and focus on bringing about a change
It is never too late to personally visit family and friends rather than complain network is out of range
It is never too late to visit places of religious worship and connect directly with the divine lord
It is never too late to learn about your customs and traditions that seems to possess you in its hold

It is never too late to take up any study course that satiate your curiosity and provides an answer
It is never too late to learn to sing and groove and surprise your family with your talent as a dancer
It is never too late to learn to cook and assume the mantle of being the Chief Chef of your home
It is never too late to go to the real market and refine your negotiation skills that you need to hone

It is never too late to call up your office and take a day off to enjoy a break with your own family
It is never too late to develop a sense of humour and rattle off jokes and anecdotes while on the trail
It is never too late to learn a new hobby that cultivates your enthusiasm and rekindles your passion
It is never too late to re-look at your wardrobe and stock it with what you consider high fashion

It is never too late to call up your near ones and wish them despite forgetting their important days
It is never too late to revisit your beliefs and live life differently and improve the quality of your stay
It is never too late to get to know your neighbours and truly understand what they really stand for
It is never too late to play around with children and partake of their innocent fun and light banter

It is never too late observing the world around and trying to understand the myriad interconnections
It is never too late to play an active role and effectively impact beyond the past passive contributions
It is never too late to donate to charity and contribute to causes that may come unannounced
It is never too late to let go of sad memories that you grudgingly acknowledge you have not renounced

It is never too late to shift your home and develop new memories in locales that you savour
It is never too late to contribute to society and not feeling that you are doing a great favour
It is never too late to pen down your thoughts on your experiences that may benefit the next generation
It is never too late to accept accolades and acknowledge mistakes made during your habitation

It is never too late to live a purposeful life and try to seek out the eternal and divine truth
It is never too late to let go your inhibitions and seek out a future by following a new route
It is never too late to clean up your own plate and start to live life on a completely new slate
It is never too late for anything in life and there is no reason to be restricted by any given date!

Can You Really Influence Others?

There are many who desire to positively impact the life of people – near and far
They dream of a world where staying happy and peaceful are not conditions found rare
They have their views on how the Universe can operate better and have a set of plans
They think that spending time and convincing people will suffice to increase their clan

There may be varied motives that the so called change catalysts may have in mind
They may arm themselves with enough data and information and start off the grind
They may have the right intentions to facilitate people to live better and enriched lives
They may have their own set of life experiences that urges them on to persist in their drive

As they go about presenting their views and seek inputs from their target audience in the world
Sooner than later they encounter resistance to change as a common factor binding the herd
They are questioned about their motives in having others change their established patterns of life
They are even ridiculed for their ignorance at not understanding the ways of the world inviting strife

Groups form and come together with an ultimate aim to decimate any new idea from the roots
Life suddenly seems to have picked up speed though attracting outcomes aimed to make one mute
The inner strength and clarity of purpose may differentiate those who give up and continue to persist
It is not always easy to face up to inner conflicts that threatens to rip up your existence in its thirst

The larger question then comes to the mind as to whether one can have any influence over other
History may provide examples of people possessing a larger than life image across all weather
One may like to believe that people occupying positions of power and so called leadership think-tank
Have made significant impact on the lives of many by giving them rare insights to stay on the plank


Every individual has a mind of his own and it is better to acknowledge reality than fume and fret
Just because one has ideas that seem better and logical not everyone prefers to watch the sun set
Those who change are those who think for themselves and seek out a new future different from past
They actively search for opportunities to live differently and create a new reality with a different cast

They may listen out to the views of change agents and only absorb information passing their filter
They change for themselves and may not even necessarily think about the worldly good at large
They possess clarity in terms of their definitions of success and positions adopted to achieve the end
They may seek out change agents and use them as a tool only when they are unable to navigate the bend

Those who seek to bring about change in this world need to be highly aware of this realization
The goals they seek to achieve is also actually in their self-interest and not worldly self elation
It is not easy to quantify and measure the contributions of those who seek to influence others
The outcomes in this world go beyond statistical tools & timely goals and acceptance helps one maintain composure across all weather!

Give Up Your Anger

As I lazily woke up from my bed the sun-rays began its daily ritualistic glare
It was enough for me to let loose my emotions and let the world hear my blare
As if the morning ringing of the bell by the milkman and the paper man was not less enough
The security guards were buzzing me for permission to let the courier man deliver his stuff

I very intentionally wanted to just laze and take a much needed break from daily chore
It was very upsetting that the external environment strangled me in its hold all the more
I just wanted to speak to my close family and friends letting them know I exist and do truly care
It was so frustrating to see every man flying around in his orbit not realizing the eventual tear

As I boiled the milk and I set up the toaster preparing for my first feed of the day
I got a call on the phone and the speaker on the other side hurled abuses my way
I did not know what had hit me or why was I subjected to a treatment like a door mat
The milk had enough and decided it was free to overflow beyond boundaries I had cast

As if cleaning up the mess was not less work, the toaster contributed by burning the bread
My emotions flew and I was sure that it would reflect the impulse of a raging bull on seeing red
I put on the music system hoping to hear to some classical music to soothe my jarring nerves
Imagine my feelings as I put on the power the energy company initiated the maintenance drive

The climate was seething hot and even the breeze seemed to be enjoying an extended holiday
If anything could go wrong, it was happening and good old Murphy’s Law had found its way
Imagine my shock when I thought of having a shower, thought of saving water and opened the tap
Water flowed down in a trickle, my tank was empty and this was another problem landing on my lap


I had no food, was stinking, feeling miserable, temperature soared and anger took centre stage
God save the man who may happen to cross my path and like the mad elephant I may show my rage
Thoughts were shooting across from all directions and irritation and frustration were on a roll
I seemed to provide the fertile soil for them to sow their seeds and enjoy the fruits of their toil

It seemed the Lord was having a silent chuckle at my lack of maturity to maintain my balance
I seemed to be on a free fall and I was not able to handle all this much confusion erupting at once
There was a sudden roar akin to the mighty lion and the shower rained water calming my head
It was the much needed respite that triggered the reflection on habits that I had to consciously shed

I realized how each of the events of the day though small in nature had acquired a huge stature
It was my mental thoughts that contributed to me raising mountains of nothing and adopt a posture
I had not the luxury of time to think and analyze and plan on a strategy to steadily give up my Anger
In my self-interest and of Universe at large I had no right to subject them to evil reflecting Danger

The best time was now and the best choice was to always stay calm when under pressure
One may face difficult circumstances but to be effective one need to maintain composure
The external environment may trigger events but one should not erupt in a chain reaction
To be objective and unbiased and yet remain cool and giving my mind some rest seemed to be the ultimate magic potion!

Break Journey on Earth

I wonder like so many before me and around me about our life on earth
I wonder where we come from or are headed off to from here hence forth
All of us arrive on this world as a tiny baby dependent on others for survival
Even when we depart we leave behind our body for others to undertake a funeral

Each one of us comes to this earth with a body and mind composition unique
To a great extent it impacts our stay and the quality of experience we soak
Each one of us get influenced by the various factors in our immediate environment
The degree and intensity may differ and provoke our circumstances and predicament

As one evolves in age there are changes on the physical, mental and emotional composition
The factors supporting one’s existence plays a critical role in laying a strong foundation
As one encounters diverse situations and people through various nature of interaction
One grows rich with experience and presents a personality in alignment with disposition

Many a time we live through our journey with adequate time spent on self reflection
The moments may be spent in pursuing activities that provide a sense of distraction
Many a time one may actively decide to avoid taking time for regular introspection
Not everyone has the patience or inclination to pursue desire beyond immediate gratification

The immediate society and the larger world seem to capture our sense of imagination
One gets caught on to pursuing up activities that seems to be the world preoccupation
Priorities may differ for people as they live out their particular stage of life at that point of time
Most often Education, Marriage, Family, Profession, Money, Health, Social Service, Religion, Spiritual Beliefs are the prominent rhyme,

One may assess a situation wrongly and may give it value more than what it truly deserve
One may read too much into an event and assign it an importance beyond its real value
One may indulge in manipulative calculation in one’s attempt to ensure self preservation
Many a time it may back-fire that necessitate a drain on resources and energy resulting in erosion

As one goes about facing various circumstances to the best of our ability and innate intelligence
One may like to question their efforts in being the best while putting on multiple acts of pretence
One may have observed situations where you seem to have done all the relevant calculation
But events occur that may create disruption or has the potential to provide joy beyond imagination

One’s inner strength and emotional resilience provides the fuel to sustain the journey through life
The external environment requires monetary resources to trade for in daily necessities through life
The period and location of one’s stay on this planet may vary with divergent purposes of one’s life
How many of us are able to grasp the truth during our stay and live an enlightened life avoiding strife?

The Bliss of Awareness

You have lived through this life of yours and have evolved into your current form
As you merged into society you slowly began to embrace and lived up to a defined norm
When you were born were you aware about the real purpose of your creation
As you lived through moments of time little did you have vision about your current evolution?

Many a time we plan to act but then many a time we also fail to act our plan
Many a time we demonstrate conviction but then many a time get convicted for demonstration
Many a time we fight for justice and truth but then many a time accept injustice without a fight
Many a time we attain powers of discrimination but then many a time also discriminate with power

The Bliss of Ignorance faced up to the Bliss of Awareness
The ring fence is drawn and both are sharpening their horns
As they face one another in the ultimate fight for ruling the masses
The Outcome keenly watched by the Universe across all classes

As the conch were blown do did Ignorance and Awareness lock their horn
The fight was on and each perceived the other to be a painful piece of thorn
As the bugle sounded both let loose their war cry and unleashed their armour
Both were gifted with rare jewels that did their bit to add up to the glamour

Ignorance attacked with its arrows coming in a maze, Awareness refused to be drawn into a daze
Ignorance threw its punches inviting the other to dare but Awareness minded its ego without going out of the lair
Ignorance beckoned with its attraction of flesh but Awareness knew how to not get caught in the mesh
Ignorance let loose its series of emotional undercurrent but Awareness countered it with calm and contentment

Ignorance passionately let loose its anger, Awareness managed to ward off the source of danger
Ignorance refused to open its eyes, Awareness was ever willing to openly share the wisdom slice,
Ignorance put across an unwilling ear, Awareness ever the enchanter listened with all ears,
Ignorance was shooting darts off its mouth but Awareness gained control and started to gain clout

As time inched closer towards the end of the big fight, one was very clear about the true source of light
As one faced the reality check on one’s power and hold Ignorance truly presented a desperate plight
Awareness won the battle hands down without even getting stretched beyond its levels of comfort
It was history repeating itself and no wonder that Awareness retained the crown and managed to hold fort!

Let Nature Call the Shots

You may like to let yourself loose and surrender at the feet of Mother Nature
You may like to embrace a lifestyle that goes back ages beyond the embraced culture
You may like to live out your moments without any preconceived set of blocks
You may like to lose all inhibitions and not get bound to the whims of the digital clock

Just rise up when you feel like getting out of bed without bothering about the time of the day
Just have food when you are really hungry and avoid grabbing a bite just to trigger your play
Just talk when you want to and to whom you want to and on what you want to without any reason
Just nurture your body and give it the much needed respect that it deserves when it serves you all season

Just grab a book and read what you want without any defined expectation or outcome in mind
Just hear to whatever music you want and go beyond cultivated taste that has kept you in the bind
Just walk barefoot without having to perfectly match it to your elegant clothes and accessory ware
Just cover yourself with essentials that go beyond clothing yourself to stay in the public glare

Just go and observe Nature in action that seems forever bedecked in its utmost finery
The call of the birds, the flow of the wind, the gushing water all add up the magic of scenery
The towering trees, the crawling insects, the flowers in bloom, the hanging fruits
The rainbow on the horizon, the twinkling stars in the sky, a joy to savour when you turn mute

You may wonder that it is plain indulgence and living one’s life in a fool’s paradise
You will discover for yourself how in no mean time Nature knows when and how to roll out its dice
It will have you eating out of her hands in a way that your mind could never imagine and fathom
Life finally falls in place and the difference being your energies are now tuned to Nature’s rhythm!

Going Around in Circles

Many a time one may get a sinking feeling that one is going round and round
One may crave yet not find one’s direction that may make one feel stuck and bound
One may desire for a change of music and you may not even tolerate your own sound
There are those moments when you feel lonely and lost and old memories come to hound

Going through the daily motions in a mechanical manner may feel like an eternal chore
Infusing enthusiasm and a sense of joy in your daily existence may need you to identify your core
Being aware yet not moving forward may leave you feeling displaced and caught up in a maze
You may passionately seek out a change in a lifestyle to find your way out of the raging blaze

Your Universe may be made up of family, friends, well-wishers and colleagues at the work place
Each one doles out their opinion on how they think you should live out this transition phase
They may have your best interests in mind yet may never know the depths of your inner mind
You need to trust your judgement and make a firm choice to extricate yourself from the bind

You may not have the complete clarity about the road ahead and how the future will unfold
You need to trust that the higher power is taking care of you and will not leave you dry and cold
You need to leave your inhibitions and start taking initiatives that may even seem fairly bold
The key to change your destiny is to appreciate reality and dream big to find your share of gold

As you take your baby steps and leave behind the past of self-doubts that seemed to prevail
You will observe the distinct change in the direction of flow of wind energy that helps you set sail
Avoid the urge to revisit all your past decisions by putting it up for scrutiny under the microscope
Just stay with the flow and realization will dawn about the eternal protection to enable living out your hopes!

A Life on Your Own Terms

Between birth and death man lives through experiences varied
Individual environments inculcate in him differing levels of pride
He goes through phases of unconscious ignorance at the start
As he evolves heightened awareness may become an integral part

Every man faces complex situations with varied measures of sugar and salt
Intuitively he knows that he needs to persevere till his journey comes to a halt
His assessment of his current requirements necessitates a periodic evaluation
There are moments when he realizes that he may never rule life with self volition

Many make the error of comparing their lives with those whom they know
Many end up in grief when they fail to withstand the onslaught of the plough
Many are not able to forget the varied experiences that made their lives hollow
Many fail to forgive the people who they blame for life doling out nasty blows

Many have a limited vision and yet put on a farcical appearance to the world
Little do they mind that behind their backs society speaks ill about their guard
Many are lost in their craze for self admiration and need for self gratification
One may conveniently ignore reality and truth as one aims for self vindication

One can very easily live life on one’s own terms and can choose their pace
They just need to heed their conscience and provide each other their space
They need to actively seek out the truth and demonstrate the hunger and desire
They can’t forever satisfy the increasing worldly demand that needs them to remain in public glare!

Reality Check

Many a time people have such a difficult time to face up to a reality check
One may not like to accept that life has rolled out situations that they do not like
One may not have any say in the way events have unfolded over a period of time
One may have always felt that they will always be protected from ravages of time

One may like to believe that challenges faced in one’s life time ought to be temporary
One may bite their fingers when they discover that worries are not disappearing in a hurry
One may like to believe that they have never harmed any and hence question their fate
One may often get frustrated when for basic survival they need to throw around their weight

There seems a greater purpose at work when you are faced with challenges whatever your age
You are being made ready to take up responsibilities for which you need to come out of your cage
You are being tested since you have the strength and resilience to endure the long wait
You are blessed as one of the chosen few who have been consciously chosen to alter destiny’s fate

You may feel that your reserves are being tested to even a desperate point of no return
You may be mistaken in your assessment that life’s event need to have a predictable pattern
You may feel that time is linear and the past is intricately linked to the present and future
One may like to revisit this belief in light of events of recent history reflected by Mother Nature

It may be wiser to accept conditions of one’s reality without any sense of judgement
To draw comparison with the external world may only increase your disenchantment
It may be wiser to stay positive and put your best forward whatever be your condition
Life has a way of balancing itself and it will not be long before you gain peace and satisfaction!

Back to School

As many people wisely say many of life’s lessons are learnt beyond its four walls
As we evolve in life we develop self awareness and learn to heed our inner call
As we awaken from deep slumber after a peaceful night without any distraction
Many a time it sets the foundation for opening up a new chapter with self volition

It was one such morning that I felt refreshed and seemed to have a realization
I could feel a sense of emptiness and realized that I needed to work on my education
As many people wisely say that we need to be an eternal student in one’s exploration
Life’s moments are truly precious to be wasted on indulgences without any reflection

There was a distant past when earning a degree was the equivalent of education
The structure and boundaries were well defined and only required self application
It seemed immaterial whether the concepts learnt had any relevance in today’s world
The designers of content seemed to possess limited options to handle the diverse herd

In one’s attempt to generalize and bring together a sense of uniform standards
It seemed that the building blocks were pre-ordained to collapse like a pack of cards
One could only grin and bear with a weary sense of discomfort and recurrent pain
As one went about absorbing irrelevant inputs that did not live up to its tall claims

One still realizes that there are many gaps to prepare one for various stages in life
It is no wonder that people are found wanting when coping up with daily strife
There is less time that people spend on self introspection to identify what they stand for
Rarer the minority who consciously experiment to identify and aim to open the right door

As one draws inner strength from one’s experiences over time and chunks of inspiration
One develops self belief and conviction to evaluate and test their limited set of assumption
One need not fall prey and operate within boundaries set by the limited imagination of a few
One could go back to school, open up to new varied experiences and refine their world view!

Value Orientation

Different people espouse different values in their daily interaction
The core principles that people adopt provide them a sense of direction
The differentiation may be a function of beliefs transmitted across generation
Many people do attempt to change their inherited legacy and develop a new orientation

Some people believe they can dominate the environment to make it fit to their needs
Others believe that destiny guides life and they need to live in harmony for their daily feed
Some people are guided by the past and place a high value on continuity of tradition
Others are willing to make short term compromises and live beyond a life of result orientation

Some people demonstrate a strong task focus and believe in productivity enhancement
Others believe in developing depth of relationships and work towards experience enrichment
Some people prefer to operate within a defined hierarchy that strongly powers their motivation
Others believe in equality to minimize individualism and strongly encourage democratic inclusion

Some people strongly guard their privacy and prefer a distance in daily interaction
Others believe in essential socializing and open themselves to scrutiny in group interaction
Some people prefer shared experiences and do not need to always explicitly state their opinion
Others stress on oratory skills and prefer to highlight words with meaning in their daily expression

Some people demonstrate a strong individualistic streak and stress on independence
Others believe in teamwork and collaboration and strongly stress on inter-dependence
Some people demonstrate high achievement orientation and focus on self interest
Others believe in affiliation and are willing to subordinate their desires to group interest

Some people need a high level of structure and have a high need for rules and order
Others are willing to tolerate conflicts and ambiguity without losing focus on the radar
Some people strongly believe in being driven by pure theory and logical orientation
Others believe in reasoning out their life basis various experiences and experimentation

Each of the values that people espouse may be time tested and had a positive impact
Many a perspective that people demonstrate may also have outlived its existential pact
One may like to argue that value conflicts degenerates culture and reduce community cohesion
Trying to prove the superiority of a given set of values over others will only increase societal tension!

On a Tight Leash

As I stepped out into the Universe my umbilical cord was forever cut
It was my first experience of facing the knife when other doors were shut
I was on my own and all I could do was cry and howl about my pain
It was my way of communicating to the world calling attention to my condition

As I gradually settled down and adapted to the ways of the world
I observed that each one was busy trying to control their life flood
I would have liked if others spent more time providing love and affection
I realize that so does each one feel when he feels alone living a life of isolation

I had my share of challenges and it seemed an uphill task to fulfil
Many a time I seemed to be drained out and doing things against my will
There were times when I felt like closing out by taking the ill advised pill
I can’t fathom my reason to exist when all of life seemed to be on a stand still

And then came a day when I realized that all of it is a play of the mind
What we focus on becomes our reality as we live out the illusory grind
There can never be a situation that may be better or worse in the future
One lives a fruitful existence when he remains peaceful despite any rupture

It just opened up a new reality and gave me the strength and endurance
I could face up to my realities and all I had to was change my own lens
I no longer had any kind of expectations from any others outside of me
I knew that the divine was guiding me towards my ultimate goal of being free!
