Just break the Cycle

It is about time that you finally committed to yourself to let go and finally break the cycle
You have been mulling over and procrastinating long enough for one to label you fickle
It is not other’s opinion that needs you to change your habits and leave behind old patterns
It is the promise you make to compete with self that encourages your destiny to take a turn

It may be about relationships with people that may make you annoyed and lose your sleep
It may be about your inability to build your desired financial portfolio that makes you weep
It may be your low confidence levels in your ability due to perceived low skills and education
It may be your sheer lack of ambition to strike it big that makes your live a life of moderation

It may be about your inability to follow your fitness regime leading to lower energy levels
It may be about your self-doubt that you are not able to influence others to ring your bell
It may be about your lack of courage to stand up for your rights that you maintain silence
It may be about your inner insecurities that forces you to build around you a protective fence

It may be giving too much respect beyond what others deserve that makes you submissive
It may be never giving the due care and attention for self needs that makes you aggressive
It may be living with outdated and unquestioned beliefs that fail to make you be assertive
It may be about surrounding yourself with people who rarely ever exhibited any initiative

You just need to make that important decision to break the cycle and fight your own battle
Just do not expect any support from others as you go about proving to the world your mettle
You may like to acknowledge any assistance that may be offered should someone’s heart melt
You may like to balance idealism with pragmatism as you finally learn to tighten your belt!

Life Management

I believe many of us at different points of time have thought of managing self better
Many of us may have even participated in sessions with hopes to change for the better
Many of us may have reflected on the famous four quadrants of Urgent & Important Matrix
Many a time we may have never yet implemented the lessons and continue to be in a fix

Just imagine that you have retired from active work and you don’t need to work for your pay
Just imagine that you have sufficient financial resources to support your life long stay
Just imagine that you lack complete clarity on life but have been blessed to find your way
Just imagine that you need not be a part of the rat race and be ever in a competitive fray

How many of us really know what we will do should we be granted a life-long holiday?
How many of us have any clue on our desires beyond indulging in activities to earn our pay?
How many of us have really absorbed that time on Planet Earth is really a temporary stay?
How many of us have reflected and committed to live differently as we continue our play?

Are you going to spend time lazing around and fulfilling all your physical desire that matter?
Are you going to spend time interacting and relating to people to understand them better?
Are you going to watch movies, play & listening to music, indulge in idle talk and chatter?
Are you going to play active sports and take up fitness programs to help you turn fit faster?

Are you going to visit places be it beaches, wild marvel of nature or an architectural wonder?
Are you going to indulge in photography and differentiate by capturing moments of blunder?
Are you going to go all-out shopping, look out for the best bargain as you aimlessly wander?
Are you going to learn a new hobby and cultivate a new interest as you learn to surrender?

Many of us may have wanted to read up books that guides us on the ultimate life purpose
Many of us may have wanted to spend time with spiritual teachers to help look beyond gloss
Many of us may have wanted to understand our religious tenets and stop living life in a mess
Many of us may have waited for the right moment to take a break and eliminate our stress

How many of us have actually thought in the larger scheme of things do these really matter?
How many of us have reflected on the truth that what we run after will sometime gather rust
How many of us have truly absorbed the essence that many attractions are not really a must?
How many of us live life with an awareness that eventually one day we return back to dust?

It does not mean that we avoid taking actions, stay silent and only do prayers & meditation
It does not mean that we stop taking interest in life and display our ultimate realization
It does not mean that we avoid having social contact and indicate a life cycle completion
It only means to live life consciously & aim to find your life purpose in your form of creation!

The Paradox of a Fall

I was walking along the beach when all of a sudden I was witness to a coconut fall
I truly thanked god that it was not my head but the wet sand that could endure the fall
I was walking in the public garden along the parking lot when I again saw a coconut fall
This time it was on a parked vehicle and its owner was highly enraged and got into a brawl

I was catching up on the market scenario and the bulls were highly unhappy with the free fall
I thanked my financial planner for advising me to divest my portfolio and me heeding his call
I was looking up at exchange rates quoted by banks and observed that the rupee had a fall
I was expecting a couple of export orders and hoped that this may trigger them to take a call

I had gone to buy my weekly vegetables and happily noted that it had triggered a price fall
The major cause was the weather and the more than expected quota of seasonal rainfall
The shower in the catchment areas ensured that the corporation was not up against a wall
The traders unhappy with the price fall were yet happy with rising volumes not taking a toll

The elections were round the corner and the contestants were busy with the upcoming poll
They busy schedules were filled up with hourly meetings beseeching voters to heed their call
They committed to build the best of infrastructure facilities and heed the final wake-up call
They promised to build a future different from the past and ensure all citizens have a ball

I went to the jungles to have a respite from city life and rest in the laps of Mother Nature
I come across a group of Monkeys and Spotted Deer together who gave me a quick glance
The Deer stood up on their hind legs and nibbled the foliage and had the occasional scramble
It was a joy to see the Monkeys drop the leaves from the tree for the waiting deer to nibble

I then came across a group of flowering trees that had surrounded itself with its own flowers
It seemed to want to create moments that it could treasure and yet secure its ultimate future
The view of bed of flowers that it was resting on was priceless moments of joy and pleasure
One could never imagine timing such magical moments that had effectively no measure

I then went further in the wild and happened to observe a pair of predatory birds in the sky
As was their habit they were scouting for prey and leveraging their strengths by flying high
I suddenly happened to observe one of them rapidly descend at a pace and going for the kill
I never had imagined that a bird could drop at such a pace and I literally stood standstill

I got back and reflected on the day gone by right from the coconut and markets that had a fall
I thought about poll contestants to Nature’s creations each for survival getting into a brawl
I thought about the wise tree that had its seed spread to improve the possibility of its growth
I suddenly realized that every fall has something to savour that could be the ultimate antidote!
