Lessons on Life – Chapter 2

The grandparents were overcome with emotions on hearing their grandson’s deep desire
The gleam in their eyes reflected the joy and they were eager to share their wisdom & culture
They were aware that amidst the evolving life scenarios one can ill-afford any rigid posture
They were equally aware that life experiences truly tests a person’s character and composure

They reflected on the right approach to share their life experiences from the distant past
They had encountered numerous mazes in their journey and had cultivated memories vast
They had seen the pace of life undergo a radical shift from a slow track to one that is very fast
They had also consulted elders amidst confusion and their reactions had left them aghast

They realized that they had to share their lessons of life but connect it to the current context
Their considered it fit to not talk about incidents that their grandson could not relate with
Their internal compass guided them to focus on areas that would align with his current need
They also realized their duty in moulding his character that would link up to his future deeds

They believed that certain guiding principles operated consistently across any given situation
They had endeavoured to diligently follow them and this only strengthened their disposition
They decided to take turns in educating their grandson that may contribute to his evolution
They recognized the reality of impermanence and desired to leave behind their impression!

The grand-parents must be really wise and intelligent to understand that they need to relate their experiences and put it in the current context. Only then will grand-children ever understand.

I remember, when I was a child, my grand-mother used to tell me various things. Stories with values system about gods & goddessess have registered and got reinforced over time due to one observing the same being religiously observed in society.

However,if one were to give advice in an abstract manner that one can't relate to and one may not have the maturity to understand the efforts go abegging!

Yes, and I guess each human may have some motivation to leave their footprints on the sands of time. Education and knowledge sharing from time immemorial has been a technique to be remembered by the next generations to follow....
