Don’t Worry Be Happy

Many of us may have often heard people asking us not to worry and remain happy
We may find it very difficult to let go of our troubles and concerns and remain sulky
We may retort at people who may advise us as well-wishers but come across as grumpy
We may think that people are extremely heartless and continue to ever remain grouchy

We just need to reflect back for a moment at the true essence of the proverbial saying
We will realize that it does not take long for one to recognize the intended meaning
We go through circumstances in life and encounter various ups and downs in life
We ought not to get bogged down by suffering that contributes to forever attract strife

One’s state of mind is reflected in your attitude that gets observed in your daily action
One may continue to get bogged down by personal concerns or embrace a life of fun
One may complain about one’s misery that seems to have altered your life and destiny
One may choose to let go of memories that binds you to the past and alters your destiny

One may get an ailment that may constrain your mobility but look at the larger picture
One can still maintain an independent life and you can still navigate change of weather
One may hear of a close relative or friend who has passed away after a chronic disease
It may not be easy to digest the news but it may be better to accept the soul finding peace

One may hear of a terrible accident that your relative or friend may have had to face
One may like to look at the positive and be glad his life was saved due to divine grace
One may hear of a job loss that your relative or friend may have recently had to face
One may like to look at the same as an opportunity that he gets to start a new phase

One may be disgruntled that you missed an important meeting due to lightning and thunder
One may get so worked up about one’s worries that you may overlook your own blunder
One may fail to realize the meeting was planned for the next day and you start to wonder
One’s observation that life’s incidents do not happen by chance may make you surrender

There is a pattern in life’s happening that the logical mind may not be willing to accept
There is a guiding law of nature that is applicable to every living creature on this planet
There is no reason to lose control over your emotions and amidst uncertainty fume and fret
One just needs to remember and observe the sun rise the morning after the previous sunset

There is not a single situation in life that has not something positive amidst ambiguity
There is not a single individual whose life is not endowed with some innate good quality
The occurrences in life may occur at a time that enhances your insecurity and self doubt
The Universe has a larger design that may intrigue you but is timely and fits in with a plot!

Here is what I can remind (one of my all time best songs) to all:

"Rote hue aate hain sab, hansataa huaa jo jaaegaa
Vo muqaddar kaa sikandar jaaneman kahalaaegaa"

I am reminded of a daily scene that recurs when a friend of mine sends me a proverb that has a deeper meaning or a funny joke. It brings about a smile on my face as also my family when I share the same. Smile and cheer is always better than sullen faces.

Be positive, stay positive, spread laughter and cheer.
