Bare Essentials

As they say the journey of a thousand miles begins with a first step
The importance of all the routine and mundane is not really just a blip
As one sets about traveling in this ever green journey of life
It may be wise to reflect on how little things adds up to the pile

One may like to imagine a perfect world with a complete sense of comfort
One needs to consider the little bricks that contribute to build and sustain the fort
One may like to imagine a perfect world filled with pleasures that you decree
One needs to absorb the essence of little drops of waters making up the sea

The journey across time is filled with tasks that may have no special appeal
The blessings in life are acknowledged when faced with situations that takes time to heal
One does not necessarily have to despair that things take time to work out
One can yet take relief that life’s events have not delivered the ultimate knock out

The ability to walk on your own feet, the ability to grab your own bite
The ability to speak well with comfort, the ability to hear without a stretch
The ability to read with clarity of vision, the ability to demonstrate compassion
The real essence of peace in one’s daily life gets realized when fruit encounters knife

The little tasks in life when running smooth get taken for granted as a right
One may like to rant about misery imagining that facing difficulty is only their plight
Moments on stage may give a fright, but with practice can be performed right
A shift in perspective and thought patterns may help to appreciate moments truly bright!
