Gender Divide

Some stress there is no difference beyond known physiological features
The spirit is what matters and not the body that sustains
It is not the inherited legacy but the ambition to nurture
The determination to go beyond a known reality ever ready to rupture

Then there are those who question the wisdom to go against nature
They contend that every being has a necessary role to perform
The form that they have currently taken is all part of the play
That every being has a role and there is no sense in letting the past slay

Some say that one’s contribution to sustain human progress is just a part
One needs to be able to look beyond the traditional biological cart
That the spirit may have inherited a form that need no longer be a constraint
The right use of colors differentiates the canvass that one truly aspires to paint

Then there are those whose campaign is focused solely on one’s strengths
They contend that history and ancestors were not unwise in laying ground rules
Given the limited tenor of life, it is best to use what you are endowed with
That unlimited potential and balance is nothing but imagination and a myth

In the face of evolution that needs to adapt at an ever dynamic pace
It may be unwise to claim that not each one can find their space
It may not be fair to set a clear demarcation stressing solely on differentiation
One needs to be honest enough to assess their self knowledge of creation!

Water finds its own level just as mother earth embraces the shovel
The soul when filled with peace willingly creates a life that truly marvels
Each being is more unique stretching beyond one’s own genetic code
The soul has every right to dream, build and live in its self created abode!
