Just Be Happy

There is so much in life to be glad and happy
You find it difficult to fathom why folks end up sad and grumpy
The start to the day and the sun ever willing to shower his ray
The melody of the birds each calling to the other to join in the fray

The cool and pleasant breeze makes you joyful and puts you at ease
The towering trees with hanging branches seem to revel in the peace
The buds are slowly opening as if waking up from their night stupor
Crawling insects buzz around in droves injecting a healthy dose of humor

As you take your walk around you see familiar faces smiling
You are truly blessed that your day starts off with a cheerful greeting
As your eyes connect you open up and speak up your thoughts
You are truly blessed that your views and opinions are sought

You get distracted by a falling Coconut on its way down
Your shock and frown disappear when you realize saved is your crown
The tree seemed to possess an uncanny sense of timing
There seems to be a message coming at you to let go of the railing

You step out and beckon to your balding Milk Man
Who readily responds and gives your measure in the can
In no time do you heat the milk that begins to slowly boil
The steady rise seem to reflect your own moments of toil

The morning cup of coffee gets you out of your trance
You are charged up and ready for the morning dance
The breakfast is guzzled with super lighting speed
The newspapers provide the quota of your daily morning feed

You follow your discipline and are committed to reach office before time
You like to revel in the fact that daily small wins helps your life rhyme
You plan your day well in advance so as not to be caught off guard
You believe in work life management to enable you to also play hard

As you step back from work and look at the night sky
The Half Moon smiling back put your energy back on a high
The countless stars all twinkling in the fine clear weather
It seemed that each one was competing to catch your eye over the other

As you settle down on the couch to catch a piece of the daily action
The anchors and the reporters compete in the frame for their fraction
As you slowly grab a bite and mull through the events of the day
You realize your good fortune that still keeps you in the fray

As you wind-up your prayers and retire for the night
You do appreciate the wonderful moments that were a pleasant sight
As you look forward to the events of the next day to be equally peaceful
You realize that treasuring the little pleasures always keep your lively and full!
