Habits

As they say habits develop over a period of time
It may not really have had any base logic or rhyme
It may have been an unconscious adoption of a given situation
That one preferred to pick up and demonstrate as per their life perception

An observation of the factors in one’s immediate environment
The benefits one acknowledges to suit individual temperament
The pain that one is willing to undergo to satisfy a need
The choices that one makes determines the results of a deed

As they say elders have a major role to play at the start
They need to realize the need to focus while shooting the dart
The foundation plays a critical role during life’s evolution
It has far reaching consequences going beyond one’s volition

As time and age catches up they say old habits die hard
It may not always be possible to play each time a different card
One may seek answers to how life turned out the way it did for them
One may indulge in self reflection yet may cringe with their life position

One may realize the need to adapt and consciously change
To suit the need of the hour and have priorities willingly re-arrange
One may lose control and let loose their barrage of feelings and emotion
One may feel incapacitated to set the pace as per their defined notion

As they say it all starts with dissatisfaction with the present
Questioning the status quo may result in strong waves of under-current
The belief in self and setting milestones for achieving one’s goal
Helps one’s energies to flow and uncover the diamond from the original coal

There may be times when one feels situations are going beyond one’s control
There may be times when one feels self to be cut-off from the larger whole
There may be times when you do everything right yet results never appear to be in sight
Those are the moments that make one stronger and less sorry at one’s plight

The process may never be easy as one slowly aims to uncover layers of vice
The peeling may result in agony and pain in one’s attempt to roll back the dice
The faith on the larger goal is more important than get swayed by uncontrolled cries
As they say soul searching gets less painful when one is truly conscious of the final prize!
