Batting Paradise

As you take your position and guard and evaluate the field placement
You look up to the skies to spare any distress and permanent impairment
You identify your spots beyond the boundary ropes while planning the huge strike
You demonstrate a strong focus to handle harsh pitch conditions that you do not like

The pacers may work out a bounce that straddles your personal space
The spinners may weave their magic and their googly may leave you in a spin
You have no way of guessing whether the next ball is going to be bowled full or short
You need to clearly sight the ball early on to help you quickly alter your shot

It may be important to trust your instincts while seeking out solutions that test your mind
It may not always be possible to consult a toll free service provider to get you out of the bind
There are times when you may have to stop thinking straight and attempt to hit inside out
One can’t always aim for technical perfection if real returns accrue from the smashing shot

You can feed on your strengths and work your magic using the bowler’s pace of the ball
You can relentlessly use your series of cuts, pulls and drives and put up your resistance wall
You can be the force and the ammunition the bowlers need to battle the dew factor
You can hit harder and clear the field while forcing the pace to be the critical differentiator

It is about one’s ability to take charge when wickets are crumbling amidst the din of the crowd
It may be frustrating to take on the bowlers all alone while aiming to get the runs on the board
You may not have a choice regards the position that you encounter when you come into bat
You do have a choice regards your internal resilience and stand like a thorn in the opposition path

You need to demonstrate innate aggression in your aim to consolidate your team’s position
You do not have too much time to settle in while facing the swingers and set up the win
Great men have purposes while the lesser mortals have wishes when wickets tumble
It is not just methodical hitting at the end that helps your team to recover from the early fumble

You may demonstrate typical high strung attitude and may not like to lie low for long
You may like to punish the fielder who thought you could be dropped and still escape with a song
You would like to punish the bowler who is using the conditions favouring movement and swing
You may like to spark a turnaround avoiding any mistimed shots as you gradually spread your wings

As you space your innings you need to adapt and learn to cleverly adjust your regular stance
The sound of your willow raining fours and sixes seems to mirror your rhythm in a run dance
Many a strong man have wilted and collapsed under the heat of a brutal assault
Should you believe in dreams you can set the stadium on fire with your electrifying volt!
