Make the Most of Now

It may sound cliché to hear someone state “Make the Most of Now”
Come to think of it that’s all that you have power on - now or ever
The past has flown leaving behind a set baggage of memories
The future has yet to arrive demonstrating no trace of destiny

The air that you breathe, the water that you drink, the food that you eat,
The moments that you sleep, the love that you provide, the blessings that you give
Whatever you seem to say or do is always in the here and now
Whatever you face or reap is a function of your act despite the weather

Even the anger that you demonstrate letting loose the barrage of expletives
Just for a second stand back and try repeating the action in a similar manner
Try as much you will immediately observe the difference in intensity and passion
Is there any sense in holding back to unwanted memories that holds you to ransom?

The words that you read now, the thoughts that emerge in your head,
The connections that form in your mind, the conclusions that you currently draw,
The arguments that you may like to make, the reputation that you have at stake
The convergence of body, mind and spirit is and will always be in the here and now!
