Peace

There are times in life that we aim to fervently connect with the higher power
They generally turn out to be those where one is ignorant of ways to take cover
It may seem that the Universe has converged and lashing at you with a back stab
The game of rolling the dice may result in even the masters suppressing their gag

It may not be every other day that man seems to be possessed by the devil
Whether one likes it not truth be told that good gets balanced out by evil
It may not be long before one realizes self imposed conditions of restraint
One’s inability to make peace and cut ice when faced with multiple constraints

The disenchantment could be with weather, situations or people whom you know
The past may have presented situations where you may have been party to the blow
The recovery may not have been easy and the pace of progress may be very slow
As one discovers for self when planting manure and picking up the mental plough

As one cultivates the mind one may encounter the perennial weeds
Unknown to most in times of indecision one may have planted its seed
Given the fertile soil and environment conducive to its daily need
One can only question oneself regards choices not taken to control the feed

It may be better that one acknowledge one’s experience and strives to make peace
Sooner than later one can discover that he no longer needs to make fervent pleas
One needs to be as objective with colleagues, friends and family in your network
One can ill afford to take sides and get caught on the wrong foot despite all your work!

The world and our lives would be so much better if each one of us could be in a state of peace forever. Peace always seems like a moving compass.
