Reference Point

Most people need to have a starting reference point
To understand the context and prove their own view point
Many may never reflect on the prevalent situations of their time
They find it simpler to pick and highlight their chosen rhyme

The decisions that one takes is a function of one’s understanding
The essence that one draws that is distilled from their experience
Every man observes and draws out his own set of conclusions
It may rarely happen that two people agree to reflect on another’s opinion

A very few may be able to understand other’s perspective
It requires one to let go of rigid notions and predefined patterns of thought
It requires a commitment to examine motives and willing to examine mind maps
It may not come easy as change of behaviour is not as simple as turning on the tap

It requires a willing mind, deep silence and a willing pair of ears
It may not be music to listen to stories that may expose hidden fears
It may be easy to forever remain in an eternal state of denial
It may be easy on the ego to reject other’s views and never be on trial

One may be able to present a facade to the external world
It is more difficult to face up to one’s conscience and the inner world
One may feel that one is always right and may like to substantiate their tall claims
Rare are the folks who willingly re-examine their life plan and develop ability to stay calm

There are some who are proactive and try to communicate with the chosen other
Their acceptance of their proposal may depend on emotional, mental and physical weather
There may be situations when time is ripe and everyone is on the same page
There may be situations when environment is hostile and each turns into a savage

There are some who continue to persist and draw out every ounce of bad blood
Their belief may stem from the fact that it is better to clear the trails of last rot
As dead cells may damage the brain when provided a climate contributing to drain
It may be better to decisive and go under the knife if it creates and sustains an enriching life

There are some who may feel that one should not revisit the pages of history
It may not cross them that other’s memories are linked intricately to their own story
Reality is not a page of fiction that can change as per one’s figment of imagination
One needs to be have maturity to understand the pains of separation and transition

Every man’s experience is bound to be unique in his own words
Be it pain and suffering or joy and cheer he has to face his world
There are times when he extends hands in moments of despair and gloom
He may commit the royal crime of setting expectations and invite doom

Some may set their reference points as events in this current life
Some may like to take comfort as consequence reaped from a past life
Some may make comparisons and wish his reality could be different
He is truly blessed who realizes and accepts the world irrespective of the scent!
